July Kits

Today I am here to share with you what I have created with the July Card and Page Kits from Scrapbook Fantasies.  The kits both contained the same Kaisercraft patterned paper which really wasn't something I liked but I managed to make it work.

Work of Art

I am sharing with you another creation that was inspired by various of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that have used the new 'Work of Art' stamp set and created a rainbow.  I used Stampin' Up! ink pads Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey, Gumball Green (retired), Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss.  Love the simple effect of this card.

Stampin' Up! Maritime DSP

Hi everyone!  Today I am sharing with you some creations I have made with my new Stampin' Up! products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue.  Being a demonstrator I have been able order a few sneak peak products before the Catalogue release date of 1 July 2014.  I immediately loved the stamp set 'Traveler' which lead to me finally ordering the 'World Map' stamp also.  Then  once I saw the Designer Series Paper pack 'Maritime' and a stamp set I already have, 'The Open Sea', couldn't wait to get started using these products to produce some cards and projects.

Please excuse the background mess of my desk in this photo!

This card is the Make & Take projects for my catalogue launch.

This is a Card in a Box project I created for my first Stampin' Up! card class I held at my place on Monday evening.  Thanks again to ladies for your support, you know who you are!

These Bag in a Box ideas came from a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Tanya Bell.
Thought it was groovy as the paper started with a diagonal stripe and ended up with the stripes running vertical and horizontal.  Cool!

This is an Envelope Gift Card using a retired Stampin' Up! set called Fox & Friends.

And last of all is my first attempt at a Step Box Card, which I thought turned out pretty good.  I especially liked the fish patterned paper with wave patterned paper used in the step boxes.

Wishful Winter

Today I am sharing with you a card I have made for an online challenge at http://kitandclowder.ning.com with the theme shabby chic.  It's been along time since I have entered any challenges but felt the need for a chance to do something I wanted to do.  I have used a new digi image from Saturated Canary called Denise and coloured her up with inspiration from the same image Alyce had coloured at Kit and Clowder.  I don't know about the shabby chic theme as I didn't do any distressing or inking which is how I interpret shabby but I hope you like the finished card.

Card in a Box

Today I am sharing some cards with a difference that I really love to make.  I initially did a class with Candy from Scrapbook Fantasies, in January.  Then in March of this year, I attended a retreat in Brisbane held by Tina White, www.timetoinkup.blogspot.com, who is a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, who also demonstrated the technique of making a 'Card in a Box'.

Example of Tina's card

So I have been experimenting and have come up with a two different colour themes of my own.

The happiest wishes for your birthday card, I really love, as the colour scheme of yellow which is my favourite colour, teamed up well with the cream and black patterned paper from graphic 45.  A work friend has bought this card so I made a little gift card and envelope to go with.

And last of all I had this patterned A4 paper I had purchased from Scrapbook Fantasies and thought of a colour combination of red, white and grey.  I thought it turned out really pretty so I have made 12 of this version and added the number 40 for my June Card Club swap with the theme of numbered birthday cards and I choose 40 as mine as I am turning forty myself this year.

Hope you get inspired and love making these cards as I do.

Happy 40th Birthday!

Today I am sharing with you a card I have made for my brother's partner, Cat, who turns 40 next week.  I am sharing it with you now as I have to get it into the mail.  The image I have copiced is Lil Haunts Ghost Willow, a digi image from All That Scrap.  Cat is having a heavy metal themed party so I thought the goth image suited the theme.

Loyalty

Well it's June and time for another Copic Challenge at Scrapbook Fantasies.  For the month of June the theme is Paper Piecing and I used a Sweet Pea image "Inner Tender" which I have had for quite some time but never coloured.  My paper piecing is with her dress using Kaisercraft paper pad 'Hidden Treasures' and I also created a little texture with stippling on her wings.  The colours in the cat seemed to work, I think that is why I've never coloured this image as being a little scared on how the cat would end up.  I hope you like and get inspired to join the challenge.

Copic colours used: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20

June Kits

Here to share some kits with you today.  The June Card and Page Kits from Scrapbook Fantasies were great to work with yet again.  For the card kit I used a Sweet Pea Stamp, featuring Alice and the white rabbit, that I thought worked well with patterned paper of a tea party.  There was some white thread included in this kit that I could get to match so I coloured it with a copic marker to make it a brown colour which worked much better.

The June Page Kit I used two techniques with this card, first 'paper piecing' and second 'no lines' on a Gorjuss Girls image.
