My Aunty's 60th birthday card

My Mum requested a birthday card for her sister, who turns 60 in January.  I started with some numeral stamps I had and coloured the '60' in with my copic markers YG61, YG63 and YG67. Then with my multiliner I created the stitched look around the edge and added some button brads to give it a sewn homemade kind of look.

The papers I used were Kaiser 6 1/2" paper pad Porcelain Rose teamed with Stampin' Up! Poppy Parade and Garden Green.  Then finished off with some rhinestones and flowers.

The sewing cushion is coloured with copic markers also using the same YG pens as the 60, then R02, R05, R08, E40, E41 & E42.  Placed some pearls as pin nibs and used a silver gel pen to represent the colour of the needles and pins.

Very pleased with end result.

Frosty Snowflakes

Hi everyone!  I've been creating today with paints and copics.  I recently purchased the Craft Stamper magazine January 2014 issue from my local scrapbook store, scrapbook fantasy, and immediately feel in love with the cover.

So thanks to an Ombre colouring technique by Christine Dark, I created my own version with acrylic paints in my art journal with a little misting.

I used my copic markers to colour the 'Gorjuss Urban Stamp - I Love You Little Rabbit'.

Here are the copic colours I used:-

Skin - E50, E51, E53, E13, R21, R43
Hair - YR21, YR24, YR27, E15, E17
Dress - B21, B24, B26, B29, BV04, BV08
Greys - C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, W0, W2, W4, W6, W9, N7, N10, 110, 0

I had so much fun creating this and am please with the finished project.
Thanks again to Christine Dark.

Time to share some cards I've been working on for display in my local scrapbooking store, 'Scrapbook Fantasies', where I am the copic designer for the store.  I made four cards in total using the new range from Kaiser called 'Key to my Heart'.  I have used the stamp set, die cut shapes and 6 1/2 " paper pad.  Also managed to create inserts for all of the cards, which I will shall as well.

Three of the cards are La La Land stamps and the fourth is a Sweet Pea Stamps image called 'Goth Guy' which I really love this image.

November Scrapbook Fantasy Kit

I am still around.  I had a little time away from crafting, just lacked a lot of interest and was very time poor.  But here are a couple of posts of cards I've recently created with the November Scrapbook Kit and November Card Kit from scrapbook fantasy.

Trying to fine my way back to colouring with my copic markers after having such a long break.  I have some other images I have done which I will post shortly.

Celebrate

I can't believe it.... my big brother is turning 40.  Makes me realise that I will be turning 40 myself in 2014.  Here is the card I have created for his birthday.  Using retired Stampin' Up! Extreme Guitar and some brayering to create the rays behind.

Gorgeous

I have been working on a canvas project set by Scrapbook Fantasies with a looking through a window theme by reversing and using the inside of the canvas.

Firstly I used a layer of moulding paste on the whole in side of the canvas and also coloured some moulding paste black for my frame.  I created the sky with 100 and BV13 copic reinkers by dabbing with cotton wool, then spritzed some white and dazzling diamonds.  The tree was created with a chipboard stencil with moulding paste which then I painted with Acrylic black, brown and white paint.  Using acrylic paints again for the grass.

The footpath was created with Xpress-it blending cardstock, copic markers and mutli-liner.
Copic colours used:  C00, C0, C1, C3, C5

I have used a Tiddlyinks digi stamp and colour with copic markers.

Skin:  YR0000, YR000, YR00, E21, E11, R20
Hair:  E40, E41, E42, E43
Dress:  V20, V22, V25, V28, Y00, Y04

Here is the finished canvas with embellishments of lace, flowers, chipboard, ribbon, brads and owl charm.

Hope you like the finished project as I enjoyed this off the card challenge.  Thanks Alicia!

Just because

Well this is my first ever blog entry as i have just finished creating my first blog page.  Am still a little confused and not entirely happy with the design of my blog but I guess that will come with practice.

So my first image is a photo of the card I have created with July's Card Club card kit from Scrapbook Fantasy in Gladstone.  I coloured a Sweet Pea Stamps image with copic markers and added embellishments to kit for final card.
