Today I am sharing a card I have made for my brother's partner for her birthday. She loves dragons and is a little goth and dark so I tried a black themed monotone with a touch of red. The image I've used is a Tiddlyinks digi stamp and I have coloured the image with copic markers.
At the start of May was my friend's birthday and I had just done a class with some ladies on making paper flowers. This introduced me to a tool I'd never used better, a hot glue gun. After googling paper flowers and then the Spiral Flower originals die, I got inspired to created a bouquet of roses.
I choose the colours in the card I had made for my friend and had a bowl the right size in one of the card colours so that left me with 3 colours for the flowers - green, white and black. After cutting out many spiral flowers and rolling them and hot gluing them together. I hot glued each rose to a foam sphere that sat in the bowl nicely. I was thrilled with the end product and so was my friend. I nearly kept it for myself. Hope you like.
My son celebrated his 13th birthday at the beginning of May and wanted to invite his friends for lunch and the movies. So lunch was at Hogs Breath and the movie was The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Therefore I made these four symbols for his birthday invites to represent the 4 main characters. Used Stampin' Up! punches with a bit of scissor cutting free hand. He was pleased with my handy work and his birthday.
Today is the 23rd April, which is my Mum & Dad's wedding anniversary. This year makes it 42 years together. Wow! The image I decided to copic is a Tiddlyinks digi stamp. I coloured it with corresponding hair colours and based around their favourite colours.
Yesterday was my Mum's birthday so I made her this card. She told my boys the story of how she always wanted a pet pig as a little girl and she was going to name him 'Dave'. Using a Saturated Canary digi image I made my Mum's card with her and Dave the pig. She absolutely loved it.
I have been busy making Easter Cards for my family, my parents, brother and sister. I have really enjoyed making these cards and slowly getting back into my copic colouring, just hope I manage to keep it going again.
Wanted to share two cards I have made for my sisters birthday. Why two? Well I make a card for myself and one for my mum.
The card I have made from myself to my sister, is using a digi stamp from Saturated Canary and is called "Dancer". I choose this image as my sister was once a dancer herself and wanted her to remember that time. I did dance as a subject in high school and now as an adult don't get the chance to dance.
